  y = there; y = preposition (à, en, sur, dans, chez / about, to) + personal pronoun it / them
  Est-ce que tu as répondu aux questions qu' on t' a posées? Non, je n' y ai pas répondu.
    Have you answered to the questions that were put to you? No, I have not answered (to) them.
Vous travaillez chez Renault? Non je n' y travaille plus.
    Do you work at Renault? No, I do not work there anymore.
  Mon pantalon n' est pas dans l' armoire! Mais oui, il y est, regarde bien.
    My trousers are not in the cabinet! Sure, it is there, have a good look.
  Mets-le sur la table toi-même, tu ne l'y retrouves que si tu l' y mets toi-même.
    Put it on the table yourself, you find it there, if you put it there yourself.
  Est-ce qu' il est encore en France? Oui, il y est encore.
    Is he still in France? Yes, he is still there.

en = preposition (de / of [for]) + personal pronoun
  Est-ce que tu as assez de sucre? Oui, j' en ai assez.
    Do you have enough of sugar? Yes, I have enough of it.
Il a été responsable de cet accident? Oui, il en a été responsable.
    Was he responsible for the accident? Yes, he was responsible for it.
  Elle se rappelle de Paris? Oui elle s' en rappelle.
    Does she remember Paris? Yes, she remembers it.
  Est-ce que tu as déjà rêvé d' avoir beaucoup d' argent? Oui, j' en ai déjà rêvé.
    Have you ever dreamed of having a lot of money? Yes, I have dreamed of it.
  Tu as besoin de la voiture ce soir? Non, je n' en ai pas forcément besoin.
    Do you need the car tonight? No, I do not need it.
Tu te souviens encore de cet accident? Oui, je m' en souviens encore très bien.
    Do you still remember this accident? Yes, I still remember it well.
